Our BBS Copper Marans are large-bodied birds that lay extra large dark brown eggs, are early to mature, have feathered legs, and can hatch Blue, Black, or Splash chicks. Their eggs are so large, that sometimes we have trouble closing the egg carton!

These beauties are "heavy duty" birds, as they are large, friendly, reliable layers, and very hardy. They do, however, need a little extra protection during the cold winter weather to protect their large combs from frostbite. This is standard with most large-combed birds. We love having these birds on our homestead and will continue to improve their body type and coloring.
