We have finally decided to start an Olive Egger breeding stock! After years of getting our Ameraucanas and Marans stocks in great shape, along with setting up a whole new coop area, we are now offering F1 Olive Eggers!

What does F1 mean?

F1 means it is the first generation of a blue egg gene and a brown egg gene coming together.

​

Our pen is set up with BBS Ameraucana hens and Blue Copper Marans roosters. Since the Ameraucana hens have a blue egg gene and the BCM roosters have a brown egg gene, all female offspring will lay a GREEN egg. Also, since the hens are also a mix of Blue, Black, and Splash, chicks will hatch in a multitude of colors!

NOTE: When you receive your F1 Olive Egger eggs, they will be blue, since they come from Ameraucana hens, but they will be fertilized by a rooster with a brown egg gene.
